Shipping Costs (Postage and Packaging) & Delivery Times
Postage and packaging costs will be added to the value of your order, which you can view prior to purchasing based on the following criteria:
Packaging costs are included as part of the Postage and Packaging charge. We reserve the right to change special offers on postage and packaging at any time.
TheGiftBasket-Store.com will ship all orders received before 12 PM PST/ 3 PM EST the same day and all orders received after 12 PM PST/ 3 PM EST the next business day. Gift Basket Drop Shipping reserves the right to alter same day shipping cut-off during all holiday periods.
Fruit: Please remember all fruit gifts have shipping restrictions.
Monday through Wednesday standard and next day air shipping are the available options.
Thursday Next Day air is the only option
Friday Next day air Saturday is the only option.
(All fruit orders placed on Friday via "standard" ground will be shipped on Monday.)
Chocolate:
Beginning May 15th all chocolate gifts will only be available for shipping via Next Day air. There will be a $5.00 surcharge added to each order for ice and heat sensitive packaging. No damage claims will be paid for packages left outside by UPS. UPS does not guarantee perishable goods. In addition any gift baskets which contain chocolate components will have the chocolate substituted out and replaced with hard candy items.
Order & Dispatch Process
Once an order has been received, you will automatically receive a confirmation email from WorldPay, confirming receipt of order as well as order details. We will endeavour to dispatch orders via your chosen shipment method on the day of receipt of order (subject to the item being in stock). A confirmation email response will be sent by email to confirm that the item has been dispatched. If we do not have your order in stock, we will tell you by either email or telephone at which point we can advise when the item will come into stock and discuss whether you require to cancel that part of the order or wait until it comes into stock.
Claims
All damage claims, discrepancies and late delivery claims must be made within 3 business days of the gift being received. There will be NO exceptions to this policy. If a gift arrives damaged or there is a discrepancy, TheGiftBasket-Store.com and its US based drop-shipper will make every effort to resolve the issue in a timely manner to the customers satisfaction. Credits and/or refunds will be at the sole discretion of TheGiftBasket-Store.com and will only be issued if damaged gifts or discrepancies can be identified by the carrier. If the customer disposes of the gift before we can verify the damages/discrepancy we will not issue a refund. All claims must be issued in writing by email or fax. Claims will not be accepted via the phone.
Incorrect Address
All orders must be complete with the correct address, city, state and zip. TheGiftBasket-Store.com will not be responsible for a gift being mis-delivered or being delivered late when a bad address is supplied. We will ship to the address supplied on the order A $15.00 Fee will be added to your bill when a bad address is supplied and the carrier needs to make an address correction or when a suite number/ apartment number is not supplied. This fee may and will be incurred any time a zip code, city and state do not match. Claims or requests for refunds on gifts returned due to a bad address will not honored. Claims for late deliveries due to missing suite numbers/ apartment numbers or incorrect information will not be honored.
Hospital Deliveries
We do not guarantee hospital deliveries. Deliveries to hospitals are not recommended. These deliveries go to general receiving departments and then forwarded on to the patient. No refunds will be given if the patient checks out or cannot be found.
Deliveries to Small Businesses
If you are sending a package to a small business please be aware that the shipping agent may deliver to a shipping/receiving department. Please let the recipient or someone at the business know to expect the delivery, possibly perishable. We will not take any responsibility for the business being closed for the day or longer or the recipient being unavailable.
Returns
In the event a carrier returns a gift due to being refused, a bad address being supplied or non availability of a recipient all shipping charges assessed by the carrier will be added to the customers bill and the customer will be charged a 25% restocking fee. Shipping charges usually consist of shipping to the customer, shipping back to TheGiftBasket-Store.com and any address correction fees. TheGiftBasket-Store.com will allow a 7 day return policy during which any recipient may return a gift at their own expense, within 7 days of receiving it, if not completely satisfied. A refund of the actual cost of the gift only will be honored.
